Youth Engaged in Philanthropy 2025
Youth Engaged in Philanthropy culminated their year with a $2,000 grant to Royal Family Kids Camp.
Youth Engaged in Philanthropy is Marion Community Foundation’s high school group, made up of juniors from the five Marion area high schools. They spend the year learning about philanthropy and getting to know their community better. Over the course of the year, they interview local nonprofits and recommend a grant. This year’s class chose to support a camp designed and created for children 6-12 years old who are or have been in the foster care system or kinship care. The camp is focused on providing healing to children who have experienced trauma.
