Be True to Your School

LEGACY Summer 2025 — Since its inception in 2020, the TEACH (Teaching, Educating And Classroom Help) Grants Program of Marion Community Foundation has poured more than $73,000 into local classrooms, helping teachers use innovative methods to educate and motivate their students. Grants are awarded annually to assist individual classroom teachers, or small teams of classroom teachers, to foster and develop programs, projects, events, lessons, and learning opportunities in their classrooms not otherwise covered by the school budget.
Empower Teachers at Your Alma Mater (or any school)
The TEACH Grants Program benefits K-12 teachers throughout Marion and Morrow counties. We currently have specific school-designated funds for Marion City Schools, Ridgedale Local Schools, and River Valley Local Schools. Two recent funds include:
Allen ‘Bus’ Augenstein Teachers Fund
This TEACH fund honors alum and former teacher Allen ‘Bus’ Augenstein and supports teachers of River Valley Local Schools—where both Bus and his father, A.B. Augenstein, positively impacted the district & its students.
Brown Family Teachers Fund
This fund supports the teachers of Ridgedale Local Schools. It honors the memory of David Brown and his family members and their multi-generational support of Ridgedale.
New Funds Always Welcome
One goal of the TEACH Grants Program is to establish a dedicated fund for each of our five public school districts. You can help by contributing to an existing school fund at MarionCommunityFoundation.org/give or partnering with us to create a new one. Your support directly impacts local classrooms and students.
