Meet Julie Prettyman

Julie Prettyman was recently named as the incoming President and CEO of Marion Community Foundation. In this role, she and the Board of Directors will continue to position the Foundation as a philanthropy leader for Marion — growing its $65 million endowment pool, engaging community members, and effectively impacting and meeting community needs.

Most recently, Julie served as Vice President and Director of Programs. She worked closely with volunteers to administer Marion Community Foundation’s nine grant programs, resulting in $2.5 million in annual grant dollars assisting local charities and nonprofits, including more than $500,000 in scholarships for area high school seniors and college students. Prettyman led the Foundation’s Youth Engaged in Philanthropy program and was instrumental in the development of two of the Foundation’s newest grant programs, the Racial Equity & Justice Grants Program and the TEACH Grants Program.

Over the course of her career, she has developed an extensive background in strategic and business planning, marketing and communications, project management, and organization and process development. Her work experience includes leadership roles at CT Consultants (formerly Floyd Browne Group), as well as the Ohio 4-H Foundation, Goodwill Rehabilitation Center and the March of Dimes. Julie is a Marion native and holds a bachelor’s degree in business marketing from The Ohio State University.

Community, agriculture, and faith are core for Julie. Certainly, one thing that brings her joy is working alongside others that are collaborating and looking forward.
