Vince Reed Memorial Fund

When Karington Reed’s father, “Vinny,” died in August 2023, she told her mom she knew the best way to honor her father — create a permanent, named fund at Marion Community Foundation. As a former participant in the Foundation’s Youth Engaged in Philanthropy program, Karington was familiar with endowments. Her mother, Kristin, established this designated fund in late 2023 to honor Vince and benefit Tri-Rivers Career Center students who need assistance with program costs at the school.

Vince died of cancer at age 54. He was a graduate of Harding High School and TRCC. He worked as an account executive at Service Spring Corporation in Toledo and served on the Marion Popcorn Festival Board of Directors as Vice President and Music Coordinator. Vince had a passion for music and live performances, which led him to attend hundreds of concerts with friends and family over the years.
