United Church Homes Scholarship Fund
The United Church Homes Scholarship Fund, created in 2018, supports higher education for Marion area students who intend to pursue a career involving service to older citizens, including, but not limited to, gerontology, geriatrics, social work, nursing, rehabilitation therapies, marketing, or healthcare administration. The scholarship rewards students — both graduating seniors and current college students — who demonstrate direct personal experience as a volunteer, intern, or employee of long-term care facilities, assisted living centers, senior housing, churches, community organizations and other programs focusing on senior citizens, or other related community events and activities.
From humble beginnings dating to 1916, the mission and purpose of United Church Homes has remained the same — to provide comfortable and affordable housing and healthcare for older adults. More than 100 years later, this commitment still inspires our goal to be a leading provider of healthcare and senior living services. United Church Homes today is transforming the experience of aging for thousands of people as we build communities of residents who embrace life and seek wholeness and peace.
