Tasha Jones Memorial Scholarship Fund

The Tasha Jones Memorial Scholarship Fund was created in 2020 to honor the young life of Tasha Jones (1985-2020), a long-time and faithful employee of Edgefield Animal Care Center in Marion. She joined the organization in 2009 and was a perfect addition to the team both because of her work ethic and her compassion for animals. Tasha was a quiet, thoughtful person, always quick with a smile. Her personality fit in perfectly with the animals and clients because she was very calming with both.

She and her husband, Brett, enjoyed sharing their home with the numerous four-legged family members they had. Tasha worked very hard to balance work, family, and school, as she was pursuing her veterinary technician degree, which she earned just before she passed after a long battle with cancer. Tasha touched many lives in her short time on earth.

The Tasha Jones Memorial Scholarship, created by her colleagues at Edgefield Animal Care Center, supports students pursuing a career in animal science, veterinary medicine, veterinary technician, or veterinary technology, who will be grateful, happy, and hardworking and pursue a goal of making life better for the animals and people they meet every day.
