Pleasant Local Schools Board of Education Scholarship Fund
This scholarship fund, as the name implies, was created by the members of the Pleasant Local Schools Board of Education and supports higher education for students from their school. The scholarship is available to any graduating senior from Pleasant High School who ranks in the upper 25th percentile of the senior class. Special consideration is given to applicants who have attended Pleasant throughout their entire high school experience.
Pleasant High School has an enrollment of approximately 400 students and has earned an “Excellent Rating” on the State Report Card (passing every state indicator) every year for the past 15 years. In addition to the traditional course offerings, Pleasant offers dual enrollment (courses taken for both high school and college credit) in calculus, advanced biology, chemistry, physics, advanced government and politics, and western civilization. Additional higher-level offerings include AP Senior English, and AP Art as well as offering four years of both French and Spanish.
Pleasant has one of the largest Post-Secondary Enrollment Option (PSEO) contingencies at The Ohio State University at Marion and Marion Technical College among juniors and seniors of any area school.
