Marion Palace Theatre Perpetual Care Fund
Marion Palace Theatre Perpetual Care Fund is a designated fund which benefits the Palace Cultural Arts Association and provides a source of support for capital improvements and major repairs of the Marion Palace Theatre.
The Palace Perpetual Care Fund at Marion Community Foundation began as the privately held Marion Palace Theatre Endowment Fund, Inc., created in 1986, and migrated to the Foundation in 2011. Additional fund raising was spearheaded by Palace Guard John Keggan. These sources of revenue resulted in a gift of more than $490,000 for the establishment of this fund.
The Palace has long been the cultural heart of Marion. This magnificent atmospheric theatre, built in 1928, is on the National Register of Historic Places. Over the years, thousands of people have enjoyed its beauty, performances, and cultural heritage.
The goal of the Perpetual Care Fund is to help provide proper care for the building and facilities forever.
Additional gifts to this fund are encouraged and welcomed to ensure that the footlights always shine.
