Fowble Family Scholarship Fund
The Fowble Family Scholarship Fund was created by Gary & Helen Fowble in honor and memory of Gerald L. Fowble, Sr. (Class of 1932); sisters, Shirley Fowble Robinson (Class of 1953), Audrey Fowble Newbury (Class of 1954) & Geraldine “Jerry” Fowble Osborne (Class of 1956), and Gerald (Gary) L. Fowble, Jr. (Class of 1966), all of whom graduated from Cardington-Lincoln High School and went on to pursue occupations relating to their respective fields of ability and interest, some of which include: electrical maintenance, culinary arts, cosmetology, office administration, automotive mechanics, and welding.
The Fowble Scholarship supports seniors and graduates of Cardington-Lincoln High School who are pursuing an education in the field of trades, apprenticeship, and skilled labor, including, but not limited to, manufacturing; agriculture and animals; industry, manufacturing, and industrial technology; automotive mechanics and technology; construction trades; culinary arts; esthetics and cosmetology; welding; industrial maintenance; and two-year degrees, including, but not limited to, business management and office administration; technology; engineering technology; robotics and automation; smart manufacturing; nursing and allied health; computers and information technology; public service and public safety; and, social work.
Helen Fowble, surviving spouse of the late Gary Fowble (Jr.), established this fund in 2022 in accordance with their combined wishes to provide financial aid to Cardington-Lincoln students.
