Fout-Price Memorial Fund
Established in 2012, the Fout-Price Memorial Fund is a designated fund benefitting local hospice. It was created by Debbie Fout and Paula Price in memory of their late husbands, Kevin Fout and Jesse Price Jr., who were killed in a welding explosion in October 2008.
The Fout-Price Fund was created by contributions generated by the Fout-Price Memorial Car Show, held each August 2012-2019. The proceeds from this annual event built the Fout-Price Memorial Fundand this endowment fund which, in turn, makes annual grants to OhioHealth Hospice Marion.
“Someone loses a loved one every day and, too often, it happens and you go on and it’s never talked about again. But, when you lose someone special to you, to have them honored in some way or with a memorial that is just a really great honor. Not everybody gets that. Most people don’t get that. It’s very humbling and very honoring to have someone think of you in that way,” said Paula. She credits Susan & Dave Turner for helping to start the car show in 2008 and Don Perin for leading them to Marion Community Foundation to create a permanent memorial.
