Donald C. Splitstone Memorial Fund

Don Splitstone (1933-2022), was a graduate of Ohio State University and spent his career at the former Marion Power Shovel as a mechanical engineer.

He and his wife, Janis, married in 1983. They lived in Marion, where she preceded him in 2017. Don left a significant portion of his estate to charity, including Marion Community Foundation to establish this unrestricted fund.  Unrestricted funds give the Foundation the most flexibility to address changing community needs.
