Debby & Jim Shade Family Funds I & II

These two endowments were created by Debby & Jim Shade in 2023. The Shade Fund I is a donor advised fund for the couple’s charitable intents and Shade Fund II is a designated fund supporting three causes important to the Shade’s: Marion Area Humane Society, Marion Community Foundation, and Liberty Presbyterian Church of Delaware, Ohio.

Debby made her career in philanthropy. In addition to being the first president of Marion Community Foundation at its founding, she is a past executive director of United Way in Marion County and a development officer for The Ohio State University at Marion.
