David & Karen Ream Family Fund
This field of interest fund was created in 2024 by David & Karen Ream, who have spent a lifetime providing loving support of their son. Grants from the Ream’s fund mirror their hearts by supporting, first and foremost, urgent and immediate needs of individuals with complex disabilities and/or severe disabilities in Marion, Ohio. The Ream Fund also considers grants to programs and organizations that assist people in Marion with learning, intellectual, physical and developmental disabilities and special needs, and the families of such people. Through this fund, the Ream family seeks to provide support for individuals’ education, health, quality of life, student achievement, resources, environments, and needed supports; improve equity and independence through services, partnerships, education, and advocacy; and, promote the general welfare and recreation of persons with disabilities, as well as support and assist professionals who teach children with special needs.
This is the Ream’s second charitable fund with Marion Community Foundation. They established the Christopher B. Ream Scholarship Fund in 2006 to honor their son and support students pursuing a career in a helping profession.
