Beverly S. Young Fund

The Beverly S. Young Fund is a donor advised fund created in 2004. Bev made a 40-year career with the Marion Area Counseling Center, beginning as a therapist in 1977 and culminating with 30 years as MACC Executive Director when she retired in 2017. During her tenure, MACC grew from a staff of 12 to 80+ and a budget from $150,000 to $4 million, serving the mental and behavioral health and housing needs of the Marion community.
In retirement, Bev remains civically active, with a heart for Junior Service Guild’s community projects, especially Christmas Clearinghouse. She continues to support projects of the Marion Rotary Club, including its Youth Exchange Program. More recently, Bev has become involved with Luke 3:11 Ministry by enjoying being a driver for the delivery of peanut butter & jelly lunches on her assigned route. “It’s just so much fun,” she said.
Her fund makes grants annually to a variety of community causes which she cares about, including support for counseling services, housing, victims’ assistance, children’s causes, and the arts. The Young Fund welcomes additional donations.
