Julie Prettyman, President & CEO
Julie Prettyman is President & CEO of Marion Community Foundation. Julie earned a bachelor’s degree in business marketing from The Ohio State University and previously served the Foundation as Vice President & Director of Programs for 10 years. Julie has experience with volunteer development, grants program management, and donor relations. Since 2014, she has brought her extensive background in marketing and communications, project management and office administration, organization and process development, and strategic and business planning to Marion Community Foundation. Her past career path includes positions at the Ohio 4-H Foundation, CT Consultants (formerly Floyd Browne Group), Goodwill, March of Dimes, and The Ohio State University at Marion. Julie and her husband, Cy, reside in the New Bloomington area.
Favorite Thing about MCF: Witnessing the connections and collaborations among Marion’s nonprofits. It is inspiring to see how community volunteers and leaders try to use the strengths of each organization for the best results.

Kate McCleese, Program Manager
Kate McCleese is the Program Manager with Marion Community Foundation leading the grants, scholarship, and Youth Engaged in Philanthropy (YEP) programs. Kate brings over ten years of experience in the non-profit and advocacy space at the local, state, and federal level to the Marion Community Foundation. She has experience in strategic planning, project management, and organization and cross-functional team development. Kate, born and raised in Marion, now lives with her husband, Michael, and two children in Waldo.
Favorite Thing About MCF: I love knowing that the impact the dollars our generous donors give will last forever. Thanks to the way we permanently invest our funds, each fund, in turn, creates a permanent legacy, allowing for greater opportunity to make our community a better place for all of us to live.

Theresa Lubke, Donor Relations Manager
Theresa Lubke is the Donor Relations Manager for Marion Community Foundation. She provides a wide range of donor services to help donors meet their philanthropic goals. Theresa brings over 30 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, including 14 years as CEO of the Marion Family YMCA. She has worked as a consultant for nonprofits focusing on fundraising, grant writing and organizational planning.
Theresa holds a Master’s of Science in human services/organizational leadership from Springfield College and Master’s of Science in recreation and park administration from Western Kentucky University. She and her husband, Dean Wenger, have lived in Marion for over 16 years.
Favorite Thing about MCF: I’m looking forward to helping people create a legacy that has meaning for them. The Marion Community Foundation is the perfect vehicle for this. I’m honored to be part of this organization and to help our community become stronger together.

Lori S. Stevenson, Communications Manager
Lori S. Stevenson is the Communications Manager for Marion Community Foundation. She earned a journalism degree from Bowling Green State University and has made a 35-year career in nonprofit public relations. Her areas of expertise include marketing communications, media relations, publications, and social media management. Prior to joining the staff in 2014, Lori served as a marketing consultant to the Foundation, beginning in 2004, helping to launch its newsletter, Legacy, and serving as editor for nearly 20 years. A life-long resident of Marion, she and her husband, Jim, have three grown children.
Favorite Thing About MCF: Our close-knit team is so dedicated to the success of Marion and its quality of life. We all love Marion and the wonderful things our donors do to make it even better. I am delighted and honored to get to tell their stories – where they came from, what motivates them, and the positive impact giving has made on their lives.

Diana Rinesmith, Operations Manager
Diana Rinesmith is Marion Community Foundation’s Operations Manager. Diana is one of the Foundation’s most long-standing staff members, having joined the organization in June 2001 after serving as office manager for a local dentist and an administrative assistant for Customization Services with Exact Macola Software. She handles all aspects of data management and fund operations for the Foundation’s philanthropic endowment funds and donor records. Diana was raised in Marion and has family, Terra and Justin, locally.
Favorite Thing about MCF: Marion Community Foundation is a wonderful, loving, and giving family. No one is a stranger. The staff, our donors, board members, and our community all help one another. And, our efforts help others, bringing Marion and our surrounding communities to success!

Ed Stofcheck, Jr., Finance Manager
Ed Stofcheck is the Finance Manager for the Foundation. He is responsible for managing the comprehensive finance, funds management, and business operations, as well as develops and implements the Foundation’s financial strategies and goals.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Ed worked at the Center Street Community Health Center and Center Street Market, was financial secretary at Emanuel Lutheran Church for a decade, and, managed Stofcheck Ambulance Service for 27 years.
Stofcheck holds a degree from Ohio University and earned his certification as a human resources specialist from Michigan State University. He and his husband, Matt, are both graduates of Elgin High School.
Favorite Thing about MCF: I have been involved with Marion Community Foundation for many years, but from the other side. The work here is impactful and meaningful, which makes it a rewarding place to be.

Diane Mault, Bookkeeper
Diane Mault is the contracted bookkeeper for the Foundation. She has served the Foundation since its inception in 1998.
She is a Marion native and has operated a bookkeeping and tax preparation business with her husband, Richard, for 50 years.

Kathy Conley, Data Manager
Kathy Conley is Marion Community Foundation’s Data Manager. Since 2020, her role has been to oversee the Foundation’s databases, develop efficient mailing list processes, and create trend analysis reports showing current and historical views. She has extensive experience in systems, financial consolidation reporting, and variance analysis. A lifelong resident of Marion since the 3rd grade, she holds an associate degree from Marion Technical College. She previously worked at the former Community Memorial Hospital and for more than 40 years in the telecommunications industry. She has two adult children.
Favorite Thing About MCF: Working for the Foundation brings me full circle. My work in healthcare gave me community perspective and, with GTE, I worked during Bob Wopat’s tenure (a major donor to the Foundation). Those two things come together at the Foundation and have touched my life in a meaningful and treasured way.

Cheryl Wickersham, Administrative Assistant
Cheryl Wickersham serves Marion Community Foundation as our Program Assistant. While her primary focus is supporting our scholarship and grants programs, she is responsible for maintaining our mailing lists and assists other staff in a broad capacity. She has been with us since early 2023.
Cheryl is a Marion native and graduate of River Valley High School and the University of Findlay. She came to us after a lengthy career with United Church Homes. She currently serves as Board President of Downtown Marion, Inc. and as treasurer of her church. She and her husband, Steve, have two married daughters and five grandchildren.
Favorite Thing About MCF: I love the commitment our donors, Board & staff have to the community. Our little part of the world is being made a better place through their efforts. And, I enjoy having our office housed within a museum. It is important to remember our past in helping to create our future.

John Colla, Chief Investment Officer
John Colla serves Marion Community Foundation as Chief Investment Officer on a contract basis. He is a Managing Director with Cleveland-based Clearstead, an independent institutional and wealth advisory firm. John has nearly a decade of experience with investment markets, is a CFA Charterholder, and holds degrees and certificates from the University of North Carolina, Youngstown State University, and Hiram College.
