Theresa Lubke is Donor Relations Manager
Theresa Lubke has been hired as Donor Relations Manager. Lubke, known in the Marion area for her lengthy tenure as CEO of the Marion Family YMCA and president of Lubke Consulting Group, brings a distinguished career in nonprofit leadership, community impact, and donor engagement to her new role.
“As Marion Community Foundation continues to grow, additional staff such as Theresa will help us better focus on and serve the generous individuals who have created funds and contribute to funds,” said Julie Prettyman, president and CEO of Marion Community Foundation.
Marion Community Foundation was established in 1998 and has grown from one charitable fund to more than 500 and nearly $70 million in assets, which provide grants and scholarships to support nonprofit organizations and projects in the Marion area. These funds, created by and for the people of Marion, have awarded grants in excess of $25 million in support to local nonprofits and students.
“Marion is fortunate to have a community foundation for many reasons, primarily because Marion Community Foundation focuses on the needs of the community,” said Board chair Jody Demo-Hodgins. “Now we have hired a donor relations manager whose job will be to work directly with individuals interested in creating funds to support scholarships and address our community’s needs.”
Lubke will work with the Foundation’s Board of Directors, committees, and staff to develop and implement development goals for Marion Community Foundation. Her responsibilities will include planning and implementing a comprehensive donor relations program, fund development, stewardship, and special events.
“Theresa is a long-time Marion resident and knows many of our donors already,” said Prettyman. “Her deep expertise and passion for building relationships will greatly enhance our work in serving the people of Marion County.”
Lubke holds a Master of Science in Human Services, with a focus on organizational management and leadership, from Springfield College and both a Bachelor and Master of Science in recreation administration from Western Kentucky University.
“I am thrilled by this new challenge,” said Lubke. “I look forward to fostering connections with donors, assisting their philanthropic efforts, and supporting Marion Community Foundation’s mission of improving the Marion community.”
