‘America 250: Engaging Marion’ Grants Program

Marion Community Foundation is offering grants to support programs, projects, and events that celebrate Marion’s rich history, vibrant present, and promising future as the United States commemorates its 250th anniversary in 2026.
We welcome collaborative and creative proposals that engage a wide range of audiences and showcase the unique story of Marion and its people.
Applications are due June 2, 2025 @ 10am.
An APPLY button will be active here during the application period.
Programs, projects, and events should align with the 2026 Celebration Themes as defined by the AM250-Ohio Commission and should achieve one or more of the following goals:
Destination: Projects that promote Marion as a place to visit and live.
Community Pride: Celebrate Marion’s heritage, achievements, and identity
Community Engagement: Projects that involve diverse residents, organizations, and sectors.
Education: Projects that provide learning opportunities and highlight untold and under-told stories.
Timeline:
- Application Deadline: June 2, 2025, at 10AM
- Notification Date: Applicants will be notified of their award status during the July 4th week of 2025.
- Project Period: All projects, programs, and events should take place during the calendar year of 2026.
Nonprofits and 501c3 equivalent organizations serving Marion County residents are eligible to apply.
