Wm Kay Davis Funds

The late Bill Davis (1904-1991) was a Marion attorney. He was one of the first to earn the degree Juris Doctorate from The Ohio State University School of Law in 1930. He began his career in law with the illustrious Cleveland firm of Squires, Sanders, and Dempsy, but soon moved to Marion and joined Donathon, Michael, and Davis. Early in his career he was drafted into the Army’s JAG Corps and served in the Pacific Theatre.

A confirmed bachelor, he loved horses, so much so that he had his own stables and arena on his family’s 450-acre farm in Marion County. He owned, trained, and showed saddlebred horses well into his 80s.

In 2025, the following eight designated funds were created from the estate of Wm Kay Davis to support a variety of causes and organizations important to Bill during his lifetime and to establish his permanent legacy in Marion. Click on the fund name to make a donation.

These designated funds are in addition to the Wm. Kay Davis Fund created in 2014, a donor advised fund which supports the Marion Tallgrass Trail.
