Voll Family Bowling Green State University Scholarship Fund

The Voll Family Bowling Green State University Scholarship Fund was created by Fran Voll in honor of his wife, Marty. Fran created this scholarship fund in her memory to benefit countless future students attending their beloved Bowling Green State University.   

Marty was a huge supporter of BGSU and a great sports fan.  As a nurse and wife of BGSU women’s basketball coach, Marty became a mom to the many young women Fran coached over the years. 

Fran, who served two terms on the Board of Directors of Marion Community Foundation, established this scholarship to benefit students from Marion. He is the retired principal of the former Marion Catholic High School. He has served as an educator, administrator, coach, and athletic director at the high school and collegiate levels and is actively civically throughout the Marion community.

Memorial contributions have been the seed money for this scholarship fund, but Fran has aggressively working to grow the fund.  The scholarships will be awarded to Marion County high school seniors or graduates attending––where else?––Bowling Green State University. Go Falcons!
