Roger & Donna Holbrook Memorial Scholarship Fund

This scholarship fund for Pleasant High School students was created by Linda Holbrook, Jana VonDach, and Douglas Holbrook to honor their parents, Roger and Donna Holbrook.

Roger (1937-1996) made a career as a certified public accountant and was a partner with the Marion firm of Holbrook & Manter for 40 years. He met and married Donna (1936-2009) while both worked at the firm. The couple shared 37 years of marriage and were lifetime members of Emanuel Lutheran Church.

In addition to numerous professional organizations related to his accounting career, Roger was active civically with the Noon Lions Club, Gyro Club, Ohio Auto Club Board, American Red Cross, and Elks Lodge. 32.

For 28 years, Donna was the owner and operator of Treasure Land Craft Center. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, cooking, and adding to her large collection of cookie jars and cutters. She is remembered as a creative, artistic, and strong willed, independent woman.

Recipients of the Holbrook scholarship are seniors and graduates of Pleasant High School who ranked in the top 10 percent of their graduating class. Recipients must be well-rounded, as the scholarship award recognizes diverse involvement in academics, athletics and music.
