Kevin Boblenz Memorial Scholarship Fund

This fund was created in 2026 by Mason & Sidney Clark in memory of Mason’s grandfather, Kevin Boblenz. This is a scholarship they created two years prior and have migrated to Marion Community Foundation. Through this scholarship fund, the family honors Kevin’s 30+ year career as a farmer and ag teacher and memorializes his passion for both education and agriculture.
Kevin, better known as Bo, passed in 2023 in his New Bloomington home. He was born in Green Camp.
Following college, Bo spent decades as an ag teacher at Ridgemont High School, as well as a coach for the Ridgemont Gophers. He became a mentor to hundreds of students.
After retirement, Bo’s love of farming and the world of show pigs continued to be part of his daily life. He keenly followed advancements in pig farming and going on adventures with many of his best friends, but none more than his grandson, Mason, who still operates the family’s show pig business and is active with 4-H.
The Kevin Boblenz Memorial Scholarship Fund supports students from Marion and the six contiguous counties — Hardin, Wyandot, Crawford, Morrow, Delaware, and Union — who are active in agricultural academic classes, 4-H, or similar extracurricular activities. The Boblenz scholarship supports students pursing education and a degree in the field of agriculture.
