Geraldine M. Hedges Memorial Scholarship Fund

The Geraldine H. Hedges Memorial Scholarship Fund was created in 2020 with a gift from the estate of Winona LaVerne Hedges. It supports higher education for graduating seniors of Ridgedale and Marion Harding high schools.

Winona wished to memorialize Geraldine and support education locally, including students in the Marion City Schools, particularly Silver Street Elementary and Harding High School, Ridgedale Local Schools, Marion Technical College, and The Ohio State University at Marion. In addition to this scholarship, Winona’s favorite causes included supporting her church, the Marion Public Library, and the Marion Area Humane Society.
