Founders’ Fund
The Founders’ Fund demonstrates commitment to a cause. It was created in 2001 from the voluntary contributions of the charter members of the Foundation’s Board of Directors and continues to grow thanks to gifts from subsequent and current members.
Marion Community Foundation’s Board of Directors is comprised of 15 local community leaders who volunteer their time in support of the Marion area and have a vested interest in the success of our community. Our Board members include professionals in business, finance, law, education, and other professions that make them – along with their in depth knowledge of the Marion area and its needs – keenly capable of accepting and putting to good use gifts in many forms. Board members may serve up to a 3-year renewable term.
The charter Board of Directors included: the late Ted Mitchell, C. Joy Kaser, James Conway, Dr. Roberto Concepcion, James Beaver, Ted McKinniss, Dr. G. Scott Drew, Gary Sims, Steve Lemke, Pam Hall, Dr. Henry Heinzmann, Roger Vanover, E. Frederick Manter, Judge Deborah Alspach, Cheryl Herbert, the late Peter Miller, Dr. James Hering, and Bill Griswold.
