Erie Lackawanna Railroad Historical Society Archives Fund

Created in 2026 by Richard Behrendt, the Erie Lackawanna Railroad Historical Society Archives Fund is a designated fund supporting historical preservation of archives of the former Erie Lackawanna Railroad.
Richard is a long-standing member of the Erie Lackawanna Railroad Historical Society, Inc., a historical society dedicated to preserving and disseminating information about the DL&W Railroad, the Erie Railroad, the Erie Lackawanna Railroad/Railway and related lines. Growing up with the Erie Lackawanna as a child in Marion contributed to Richard’s lifelong love of trains and the railroad industry.
The Society maintains a website with detailed information on the history of the railroad; it is a valuable research and reference tool for those interested in the history of the DL&W, Erie and Erie Lackawanna. They host railroad-related meetings and events.
Donations to this fund will help the Erie Lackawanna Railroad Historical Society continue its mission to collect, collate, preserve, and articulate the past history of the Erie Lackawanna Railroad and the important task of preserving the photos, paper and history of the Erie Lackawanna and its’ predecessor companies.
