Durain Family Fund

Devin and Crystal Durain created this endowed donor advised fund in 2023. Devin served as Executive Director of the Marion Homeless Shelter and Crystal as an educator at Buckeye School in Marion. They are both passionate about helping children who are homeless, in foster care, or any other out-of-home care. They have fostered and adopted a number of children in Marion.

“We have watched children who were or are in our care grow up and have the desire to reach their full potential and create the life they want for themselves, but may need some extra help getting there,” said Crystal. “We are motivated by knowing and seeing the struggles kids from hard places have to overcome in their daily lives, at no fault of their own, and still remain steadfast and resilient in reaching their goals. Every child deserves an opportunity to become the best version of themselves and who they were created to be. “

The Durains plan to use their fund to support programs that assist such children.

“We hope that this fund impacts the at-risk youth of our community, to help change generational impacts on their lives, and to encourage them to reach their full potential for their lives,” said Crystal.
