Dr. Shelton & Becky Williams Scholarship Fund
The Dr. Shelton & Becky Williams Scholarship Fund was created in 2017 by Becky Williams to honor her late husband.
Dr. Williams passed in 2015. He was born in 1938 in Ashley, Ohio, and graduated from Marion Harding High School in 1956. He and Becky married in 1959. Shelton earned a doctorate in educational psychology from The Ohio State University in 1974 and was director of pupil personnel for the Montgomery County (OH) Schools. He and Becky retired to Lake Placid, New York, in 2000.
The couple raised two daughters, Amelia and Charlene, and has four grandchildren.
The scholarship supports seniors and graduates from any school in Marion County pursuing a degree in psychology at The Ohio State University at Marion. Special consideration is given to upperclassmen students—those in their second, third, or fourth year of college.
