Dick & Dorothy Taylor Fund

The Dick & Dorothy Taylor Fund is an acorn unrestricted fund created in 2023 by Dick & Dorothy’s children, Mike Taylor, Tim Taylor, and Nancie Taylor Poorman. Dorothy Taylor died in late 2022, at age 94. She graduated from Harding High School in 1946 and married her neighborhood friend, Charles Richard (“Dick”) Taylor in 1950.
Following high school, Dick enlisted to serve in the U.S. Navy at the end of World War II. Dick died in the fall of 2004.
Dorothy was a receptionist at Monsanto Chemical and for dentists C.C. Conklin, Jr., and Marion Dunbar. She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, Junior Service Guild, Artisans Guild, and the Palace Theatre. Dorothy loved to bake and was an avid reader of all genres. She was completing her fourth reading of the entire Bible just prior to her death. She was known for having a huge heart and generous to everyone
unconditionally.
