Dave & Anne Brown Family Fund

The Dave & Anne Brown Family Fund is a donor advised fund created in 2012 by family members and numerous friends wishing to memorialize this farm-and-family-focused couple. More than 50 memorial gifts, as well as a gift of stock from the Brown family, created this fund.

Dave and Anne were married in Marion in 1951 and shared nearly 52 years together. Together, they operated Maken Bacon Farms in Marion. Dave passed in 2003 and Anne in 2011.

Dave and Anne were very active in the Marion community, especially with Epworth United Methodist Church and in many farming organizations. Dave was the brother of the late Warren and George Brown, also prominent businessmen in the Marion area.

Son Bruce Brown represents the family and serves as the fund’s donor advisor. Awards from the Brown Family Fund favor organizations and programs which address neurological diseases and disorders, agricultural programs for youth, and end of life care.
