Charles R. Crisler was an important part of the Ridgedale family for more than 40 years. He may have been your teacher, or principal. Or, perhaps your children were in his schools—remember his gourd shows? If you purchased flower baskets at B&W Market, he probably planted them. Mr. Crisler touched the lives of many of us over the years in many different ways.
Several of Mr. C’s friends, family, and colleagues collaborated to create a scholarship in his honor, allowing his legacy as an educator to continue. The scholarship is available to Ridgedale seniors and graduates who are pursuing a degree in education at The Ohio State University.
Mr. Crisler loved his profession, his Ridgedale students, and the Buckeyes!
“Mr. Crisler could always see the potential in every kid. He could always see something good in every person,” said friend Pat Murphy.
This scholarship is a fitting tribute to Mr. Crisler, as well as his passions in life.
